“Undead, I walked — a storm unmade.
A lust for pain became my creed.
In this orgasm of vengeance,
From death… I shall be freed.”
In the beginning, there were the Seven. Now, only fragments remain.
The ancient cycle that governs all realms—Heaven, Hell, and the Mortal Plane—is collapsing. Archangels fall. Realities unravel. And Lucifer, once the brightest of the divine, stands at the heart of it all—strategist, rebel, and now, the last imprisoned hope. In a desperate attempt to outmaneuver Fate, Lucifer bends time, shatters destinies, and unearths truths long buried beneath the thrones of gods. But with each move, the universe tips closer to annihilation. Now, the last Ancients stir, old betrayals are laid bare, and humanity unknowingly inherits a fractured creation—ruled by monsters they worship as gods.
The universe lies trapped in a loop of chaos and shadow. To break the cycle, a savior must rise from the ashes of divine failure.

Dark, poetic, powerful What a ride. A Son of Night and Chaos is dark fantasy at it’s best. Part myth, part madness, and honestly just gorgeously written. Some of the lines feel like poetry, esp when Lucifer’s speaking. Heavy stuff, but worth it. The world’s falling apart, angels dying, time warping, gods being shady. Think Paradise Lost meets Sandman but more chaos and fire. Somehow still feels original. Lucifer’s the heart of it. Not just a villain. He’s tragic, clever, kinda broken. You root for him even when you know you shouldn’t. Def looking forward to book 2. If you like your fantasy deep and a little messed up, this is it.
wow… this book is not what I thought it would be. it’s heavy, it’s poetic, and sometimes it feels like you’re just drowning in the words — but in a good way. the war in heaven here isn’t shiny or glorious, it’s messy and heartbreaking. lucifer feels less like a villain and more like a dude who’s hurt and done with all the lies. took me a bit to get into the rhythm, but once I did, I couldn’t put it down.
I don’t think this book is only about angels at war — it’s about someone writing through their own scars. The rebellion, the betrayals, the shattering of heaven… it all reads like a metaphor for friendships breaking, families imploding, faith being tested in real life. It’s raw, sometimes almost too raw, and the prose is dense enough that you feel the weight of it pressing down on you. That’s why I give it four stars — not because it isn’t good (it’s excellent), but because it’s heavy, and you have to be in the right headspace to carry it. Still, it’s one of those rare books where you know the author didn’t invent the pain, they lived it, and that makes every page hit harder.

A Son of Night and Chaos
When would it end, this age of chaos?
Its rattle as hollow, as deathly, as fate.
A Son of Night and Chaos, I was—
Cast into pain by the hands of hate.
Did I fall by selling my world to the Beast?
Or bleeding yours with a traitor’s trust?
Sempiternal was my fall,
And I rose again from ash and dust.
The blade was cold — a tide of red.
Its kiss a sea where angels bled.
What you robbed when I still drew breath,
I shall reclaim with your final death.
Grinding your name, I found my core,
Adrift in this soul-less, crimson shore.
What you lost in the salt of my tears,
I will earn in your blood and fear.
Undead, I walked — a storm unmade.
A lust for pain became my creed.
In this orgasm of vengeance,
From death… I shall be freed.
A Son of Night and Chaos, I was—
The Son of Night and Chaos.
